The brush pick-up service will continue to be provided in 2010. ONLY BRUSH AND/OR LEAVES can be put out on the road allowance at the following times:

• Spring Pick-Up - between May 1st and June 15th only
• Fall Pick-Up - between September 8th and October 20th only

IT IS ILLEGAL TO DUMP BRUSH OR LEAVES AT ANY OTHER TIME. IT IS ALSO ILLEGAL TO DUMP ANYTHING OTHER THAN BRUSH OR LEAVES AT ANY OTHER TIME OF THE YEAR. THIS SERVICE IS FOR THE USE OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY OWNERS ONLY.

CONTRACTORS MUST HAUL THEIR REFUSE TO THE TRAVERSE BAY LANDFILL. OFFENDERS WILL BE CHARGED FOR DUMPING REFUSE (REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE) ON MUNICIPAL ROAD ALLOWANCES.

By-Law #1509 prohibits illegal dumping on municipal land - offenders will be prosecuted in Provincial Judges Court - maximum fine is $1,000.
